What's
your book about, and what inspired you to write it?
Marissa owns a
pink dresser full of many different scrunchies of many different shapes and
sizes; shiny, patterned, sparkly. Picture day is coming up at school and
Marissa can not seem to find the perfect scrunchie that compliments her Picture
day outfit this forces Marissa to wear a completely different hairstyle
something she has never done before. She soon realizes that no matter what
anyone says about her she doesn't need to wear a scrunchie to look beautiful.
My Daughter was my biggest inspiration. As a first-time parent, I wanted a book that showcased, diversity, and empowerment for children.
Who is your target audience, and why do you think this book will appeal to them?
